Hello All!

Recently I finished the music underscore for the first episode of a new audioplay series written by Rebecca McCarthy and produced by River Kanoff. It is called “Red Car Green Car”, unusual name I know but the story is very intriguing and fantastic voice actors have contributed to the project.

I stayed up last night till 2am and woke up this morning at midday. That means I booked time off work to sleep as I was on half day today anyway :-S

Oh well…

Things accomplished today … nothing. I vacuumed my car and polished its dashboard. That was it.

Oh… and I got this thing:

Passed 70-290 with a score of 980 today. Victory! Now all I need to do is pass another by the end of the month to meet my apprenticeship targets!

I’m so addicted to facebook right now I’m using the new calendar application there to plan my life and I’ve even imported my blog there! (hello all!)

^ The most debated question of this year ^

I’ve been editing high definition video and things seems to be going ok so far. Taking advantage of the new computing power I invested in last month, it’s time to see if that 4GB of memory was worth it!

Above are some screen caps from the short film that Tom and I are working on this week. It has been hell over the past hour because the sun kept going in and out during filming. I’m working on correcting brightness levels at the moment.

Enough said.

Today I completed two thirds of the post-production for the second series of ‘The Nobbington Letters’. I’m working on an official website for the releases and will keep you informed when it’s up.

Other things to do include the prologue for powerless and music production for some audio plays due for release this year.

I haven’t blogged for 3 months so I thought I’d better post something. My life has been quite a yo-yo lately. I broke up with my girlfriend of 7 months 2 weeks ago today and after ending a relationship that long I lost my appetite for a few days and became a pessimist with not much enthusiasm. I think my self-confidence died too.

The Monday before last I started going back to playing badminton of an evening to take my mind off things, although it seems the only session badminton is what they call ’summer badminton’ which ended yesterday (damn!) so unless I can find somewhere else local, badminton might be over for me.

Tomorrow I’m off to Peterlee for an overnight stay away on company business. They need a new backup server up there after the last one died completely. I’ve been given a new hire car, an 08 ford c-max zetec. Despite its fantastic interior, it isn’t very fun to drive although it handles well for a huge car.

Next week I’m off work. Nothing exciting planned although Tom and I intend on getting together on the Wednesday to shoot a short film in a day (if that’s possible.)

Hi All,

It’s been rather a while since I’ve blogged lately. I blame this purely on the lack of interesting things to blog about and the lack of a half decent computer to get on with some production work. The story is as follows:

1. Ordered new computer from an eBay shop called Bess-System, this is actually a company in stock-on-trent called Microtech. It arrived Thursday with the wrong processor in it. They collect the machine on Thursday and sent it back to for last Thursday at my request.
2. Spent Friday installing Vista only for the machine to start randomly power cycling on me. I installed XP and actually got some decent error messages (never thought I’d say that) to begin isolating the problem.
3. It’s hardware related. I’ve given up and sent the machine back to them. Turns out it was actually a brand new machine that had undergone benchmark testing and all sorts.

Anyway… It’s back to the laptop for now which means lots of msn conversations and facebook with very little work done.

I’ll let you know more once everything is ok here!

The weirdest thing happened to me today. I received an incoming calling from our tannoy system at work. Since when was it possible that an unattended and automated system could develop consciousness and the right to choose? Technology must be against me! Anyway… this is being investigated still. Coincidentally this time last year, I accidentally called the tannoy when looking through a list of numbers. Maybe it’s getting its own back on me.

Tonight I’m working on various music related stuff which I will keep you informed about. One is a completely new project which hasn’t been announced ;-).
